International conference: “Antimicrobial resistance from bench to practice” (26-27 September, 2018)


The Cuban Society of Microbiology and Parasitology has the pleasure to invite you to the International Conference: “Antimicrobial resistance from bench to practice”. Which has been organized jointly with the European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID), the Spanish Society for Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology (SEIMEC), The Lancet Infectious Diseases and the Pan-American Association for Infectology (API)

This event will take place on the 26 and 27 of September, 2018 in Melia Havana Hotel.

As it is well known, the resistance to antimicrobials is one of the most serious health problems nowadays which is developing in bacteria, fungi, virus and parasites as well. This event summons leading figures in Microbiology, Infectology, other clinical fields, In-hospital Epidemiology and public health for an updating exchange about the medical impact this phenomenon has, the early detection, interpretation and therapeutic management of the infections caused by bacteria, fungi and virus.

This event will count on the participation of well-known international experts and will be the appropriate space to link closer the health sectors of the Americas, Europe and other parts of the world in the fight against the resistance.
