The Cuban Society of Microbiology and Parasitology has the pleasure to invite you to the International Conference: “Antimicrobial resistance from bench to practice”, which has been organized jointly with the European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID), the Spanish Society for Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology (SEIMC), The Lancet Infectious Diseases, Clinical Microbiology and Infection and the Pan American Association of Infectious Diseases (API).

As it is well known, the resistance to antimicrobials is one of the most serious health problems nowadays which is developing in bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites as well. This event summons leading figures in Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, other clinical fields, In-hospital Epidemiology and public health for an updating exchange about the medical impact, early detection and interpretation of drug resistance, and therapeutic management of the infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses.

This event will count on the participation of well-known international experts and will be an appropriate opportunity to unite closer the health sectors of the Americas, Europe and other parts of the world in the fight against antimicrobial resistance.
