16th International Course on Dengue, Zika and Current Emergent Arboviruses, La Havana, August 12-23, 2019

IPK announces the 16th edition of the Dengue International Course, Zika and other current emergent arboviruses on 12 to 23 of August 2019. Organized at the ¨Pedro Kouri¨ Tropical Medicine Institute, IPK, Havana, Cuba under the auspices of the Cuban Ministry of Health, the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Cuban Society of Microbiology and Parasitology among others.

Through theoretical and practical sessions, prestigious professors from Cuba and abroad will debate important topics related to the clinical management of cases, the epidemiology, diagnostic, vector control, vaccine and antiviral development, environmental factors involved in dengue transmission, dengue control in the context of zika and chikungunya transmission, pathogenesis etc. Advances in our knowledge on zika, chikungunya and yellow fever will be also discussed. The Integrated Management Strategy will be presented. On side symposia and expert meetings related to dengue and other arboviruses will be also organized
